Warranty
Warranty & Regulatory Compliance
We warrant our custom products to be free of defects and materials and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of 18 months from the date of order. During this warranty period, we will repair or replace, at our sole discretion, free-of-charge any product that is covered under this warranty and is deemed to be defective. Our warranties do not apply to any item which is damaged due to misuse, negligence, improper cleaning materials, beverages, humidity, alteration, abuse, accident, or abnormal use. Damage resulting from improper handling upon delivery to the jobsite or to weather or extreme atmospheric conditions is not covered by this warranty.
Our furniture is crafted primarily of selected hardwood products. Synthetic materials may be substituted for specific applications. Like all natural materials, wood and wood veneers have unique and distinctive characteristics. As a result, color and grain variation are an inherent component of the finished furniture product. These variations reflect the natural beauty of real wood and do not detract from the quality of the furniture.
Regulatory Compliance
The Safer Occupancy Furniture Flammability Act ("SOFFA" regulates the flammability of upholstered furniture in the United States by mandating the adoption of California's TB 117-2013 as the nationwide standard. There are also a growing number of state laws pertaining to the use of flame retardants and stain resistance substances known as per-polyfluoroalkyl substances ("PFAS"). Textiles purchased by SLH on behalf of the customer (i.e. graded-in) must be California TB-117 compliant, flame retardant free, and PFAS free. Proof of documentation may be required to finalize the transaction. As a condition of placing a customer's own material (i.e. COM) order with SLH, the customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the COM complies with all applicable laws, including but not limited to those previously mentioned. Additionally, the customer will idemnify and hold SLH harmless for the use of COM selected and supplied by the customer.
